The purpose of a persuasive speech is to motivate the audience to take an action or change a belief or value. Select a topic you want to cover for your seminar four Persuasive Speech. Create two specific purpose statements about the topic – one for a speech to gain passive agreement, another for a speech to motivate immediate action. I would like to select the Health Care debate as my topic to persuade. I feel that this is a topic that is hotly debated and I would like to share my views and present my personal feelings on the debate to persuade others to take the same view and outlooks on the topic.
